GEM Europa 2019 is hosted by University of Aveiro and provides international students with a context sensitive first class training in the field of Green Energy Management and renewable resources. In the past editions, GEM has hosted students from 13 different countries.
This summer school provides the opportunity to have an exciting experience surrounded by modern architecture at Campus Santiago, yet participants will be able not only to listen to top experts and learn about the latest trends in the field of hydroelectricity and renewables, but also to add new connections to their network. Topics covered are hydroelectricity production and operational management, econometric and optimisation modelling of hydroelectricity, economics and energy markets in the context of circular economy with a particular focus on climate change and environmental issues.
The teaching staff comprises academic staff and testifying experts from energy companies sharing their knowledge and experience. A special corner will be allocated to research networking for PhD students and researchers.

Priority will be given to students participants holding a Master degree, but application by master students is encouraged and will be evaluated on the basis of the applicant motivation and background.
