The GEM-SILKWAY – Green Energy and Sustainability Development – Central Asia Edition is an international project, now involving more than 17 partners all over the world. The energy transition process requires thoughtful reflection on issues of public concern that impact cultures and societies on a global scale.
This year, the school has received the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and will be part of the 5+1 project.
The aim is to adopt a cross-cultural perspective in analysing concepts like sustainability and human development. Energy transition is a global issue, debated from geographic, cultural, social, economic, and technological perspectives.
The Summer School brings together experts, academics, professionals, and institutional representativesto foster interdisciplinary and intercultural dialogue. It focuses on energy efficiency, particularly in the context of recent changes in Central Asia. Students will benefit from lectures, debates with international scholars, cultural activities, and site visits. The program is updated annually to reflect the latest innovations and developments.
