The goal of this clinically oriented postgraduate school is to facilitate intellectual interaction with leading experts, providing essential information for the treatment of neurological and neurosurgical patients, including those with traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and intracranial hemorrhage.
The target audience for this school comprises staff doctors and residents working in ICUs, as well as neurosurgeons and neurologists.
"NeuroIntensive Care: Update 2024" marks the seventh edition of a successful course aimed at fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
The School delivers a consistent foundation of basic knowledge, updated treatment strategies, and clinical scenarios, including hands-on simulations, all applicable to patient management. Throughout the week, participants will be intensively exposed to lectures covering topics from basic concepts to monitoring systems and treatment strategies in both traumatic and non- traumatic neuroemergencies.
Live, in-person lectures by outstanding experts will be provided to students, with a continued emphasis on enhancing direct interactions with the Faculty through daily "Challenge the Experts" sessions. The practical component, scheduled for four hours each day, will include neuroradiology interpretation, bedside neuromonitoring (EEG, ICP), and hands-on sessions covering transcranial Doppler and cerebral echography.
